CHECK! Visas have arrived safe and sound. Whew!
CHECK! Hostel, "The Argyle Backpackers", is booked for 3 nights (Sat, Sun, Mon) to allow for some reasonable apartment hunting time and Mormon networking on Sunday. I am just praying my jet lag is subsided enough to be able to think clear in a new place, not get hit by a car on the other side of the road or come off as a loopy American crazy at church.
CHECK! Classes will be caught up to bide me some internet access time until Sept 17th.
CHECK! Operation: Move what is left of personal belongings to Ada complete. It was kind of funny seeing how little Shane's storage unit was used up with our stuff.
CHECK! Bank account set up for easy money wiring with help from my mom. Thanks Mom for being willing to be our go-to for us when we get our bank account set up there.
CHECK! Know where church building is and contact info for bishop and a couple of ward members.
STILL NEED:
To buy us some pounds. Get the weight evened out in our luggage so nothing exceeds 50lbs (a few sweaters may have to go if I am honest with myself). Get a MagicJack.
Not too bad a list of to-dos. Only have until Friday morning to get it done though. In the excited phase. Hopefully that will last through the plane ride and apartment hunting. Mental highs keep me brave.
